A Football Parent Meeting will be held on Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the FHS Auditorium for all athletes and parents interested in, planning to, or considering participating in football.

This meeting is open to incoming freshmen through current 11th-grade athletes at Frankfort High School and current 6th and 7th-grade athletes at Second Street School, along with their parents. We will share important information about the program and discuss our vision for the future of football in Frankfort Independent.

In February, we put out a survey to gauge the need for childcare during spring PEP, Excel, and Spring Break. We had several respond that they were interested in childcare during those weeks.

If you have a child between the ages of 5 and 12, and need childcare during those weeks, the YMCA of Central KY would like to offer that to you. You can sign up for one week, or all three. If you expressed interest, I will also be sending this link to your personal inbox. You can also access it on our social media outlets.

At last night's board meeting, the FIS board amended the 25-26 district calendar to account for our two traditional snow days. The approved changes are as follows:

March 23 and 24, 2026: Staff ONLY professional days (no students)
March 25 - 27, 2026: PEP (sign-ups coming soon)
March 30 - April 3, 2026: EXCEL (invites coming soon)
April 6 - April 10, 2026: Spring Break
